100 Days Self-Care: Week 3

100 Days Self-Care: Week 3

Welcome to Week  3 Day 15-21

Create and Learn

This week you will be asked to explore your creativity a bit more.  For many adults, creativity is something we feel guilty to explore. Adulting for some of us means no more learning just because. No more creative fun. There is no time for anything. This week we toss that notion to the side.

Do you have a book you should write about?

A business that you wanted to launch?

Have you wanted to learn how to draw?

Have you wanted to learn how to play an instrument?

Do you want to learn how to crochet?

Play a certain sport?

Well with this beautiful instrument called the world wide web everything is possible. Go online, do a search to find the pathway to your desire or to find an instructor. There are tons of lessons on platforms like Youtube, Teachable, and more. Share so we can encourage each other.

Day 15

Create Affirmation Cards

Take some time to make affirmation cards with the affirmations below. Pull out your crayons, colored pencils, markers, or paint. Get creative. Do not focus on perfection but how you want to feel when you look at the card.

  • I take care of the world when I take care of myself
  • I am abundant in all things that bring me joy
  • I love myself. I believe in myself. I support myself.
  • I tap into the frequency of self-love and abundance.
  • I make time to nourish my mind, body & soul.
  • I am worthy of love & fill myself up with love first.
  • I am in love with taking care of myself.

Day 16

Dance

Put your favorite song on repeat or pull up your favorite playlist and move. Create your own choreography. Set your timer for 15 minutes or more and let go.

Day 17

Sing

Sound healing is trending and we may feel it requires a singing bowl. But don't forget your first instrument your voice. If you don't believe in the healing power of the song think how you are moved by songs found in a spiritual setting.

Sing "This little light of mine" As you sing the song think about your internal light. What things light your fire. What things dim your light. When you sing the section that refers to what you will not dim your light replace the words with those things.

Lyrics

This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

Let it shine

Let it shine

Let it shine

Won't let ( insert things that dim your light)

I'm gonna let it shine

Won't let ( insert things that dim your light)

I'm gonna let it shine

Won't let ( insert things that dim your light)

I'm gonna let it shine

This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

This little light of mine

I'm gonna let it shine

Let it shine

Let it shine

Let it shine

If you have some favorite songs follow with those songs as well.

Day 18

Create a Poem

Mysterious Places. For these poetry writing prompts, we’re going to ask you to stretch your imaginations beyond the world of logic and fact and imagine that you can inhabit “in-between” spaces. What would it feel like? What would you do? Or not do?

Imagine you are…

Between stars
Between particles
Between dreams
Between flames in a fireplace
Between light and shadow
Underground
Behind a mask
Between air and water
Just before waking
Just before sleeping
Between notes in a song
Between the couch cushions
Between breaths
Between tripping and catching yourself

Day 19

Doodle, draw, or paint.

Drawing and painting can allow you to move away from the monotony of the day. It can be freeing to the mind. Take some time out of the day to doodle, draw, or paint.

Day 20

Take a photo walk

Photo walks are not focused on capturing a great picture. It allows us to move our bodies, engage with the world, clear our head and embrace the unexpected. Keep the following questions in mind: “What is beautiful or interesting that I haven’t noticed before?”

Day 21

Imagine

Imagine what your life will be like in 5 years. Think about what you hope to accomplish, your dreams and goals. What would it feel like? Who is in your life? What does it taste and smell like? What a journal entry dated 5 years from today. Write as if it has already happened? Save this letter either by placing it in an envelope or scanning so that you open it up 5 years from now.
